From Margin to Mainstream: Enfranchising the Decorative Arts in Academic and Civic Life
This paper outlines how a college art museum used its diverse collection of objects, most linked to local culture and history, to advance course-based undergraduate research opportunities for students in a range of majors. It described the creation of a Mellon Foundation funded seminar taught by Eliza Reilly and Philip Zimmerman called “Museum Mysteries.”
